Description

Six round placemats in hand-woven natural plant fibres, setting a circle of raw, soothing texture beneath each plate. Their 30 cm diameter holds a large dinner plate and protects the table from scratches and moderate heat. Four weaves to choose from: the plaited weave with its thick, even strands, the twisted rope coiled in a tight spiral, and the pale-centre style ringed with golden fibres, offered alone or with six matching coasters. On a wooden tabletop, a linen tablecloth or a stone table, they set a simple, warm everyday table. Sold as a set of six; the tableware and decoration shown in the photos are not included.

Good to know

Hand-woven natural plant fibres: shade and weave vary slightly from piece to piece. Dust with a soft brush; for a stain, wipe with a barely damp cloth and leave to dry flat in the open air. Do not machine wash or soak. Protects the table from the moderate heat of plates; for a very hot dish, add a trivet.
